Mystery Cross Returns
As in our Online Contest #12, the object is to fill in the grid below with the letters below it, one letter per square, to form a set of related words—all of which are proper nouns—reading across and down. This time, as a solving aid, we’ve shaded the seven squares where the words intersect and listed the letters that go in those squares separately. The longest answer reading down (the eight-letter word on the right) is the answer to the contest.

The subject of the Mystery Cross was dwarf planets and their moons. The answer was the most recentlly named dwarf planet, MAKEMAKE. Here is the completed grid:
